Professionalism
Our sisterhood is very invested in our sister's active development, and a sister's professional progress is no different. Though informal, our sisters are a valuable resource. Each of them are willing to share their experience regarding their academic pursuits, ranging from coursework to internships. Many of our sisters are recipients of various grants, such as Northwestern's Summer Undergraduate Research Grant, and are recipients of the Northwestern Externship Program grant. Some have also attended numerous prestigious summits, such as LOFT Coder Summit. Our sister's professional achievements serve as a good base to ask advice from.
Aside from the constant advice we ask current sisters and alum, we have created numerous events to assist our sisters with their academic endeavors. Our numerous workshops encompass various topics to accommodate all of our sisters' majors and interests. In the past, we have hosted seminars teaching specific skills, such as Photoshop. We have also partnered with Autodesk to host a webinar on 3D Modelling and Printing. A link to our Autodesk Webinar can be found below. We have also hosted many internal workshops geared towards specific career tracks, such as pre-med, research and consulting. Finally, we have co-hosted the Northwestern Alumni Career Panel in the past, in which we invited recent Northwestern alum to discuss professions such as consulting, business, and advertising.
