Legacy
From the moment one becomes affiliated with Sigma Psi Zeta, everyone is involved in their development. This ensures that the Sigma Spirit is passed through the various experiences that all actives, intakes and alumnae go through. One way this is done is through the educational process that new members go through to learn more about the sorority and its values. Other events that encompass this include our quarterly retreats, which are designed to reflect on our sister's development, both personally and within the sorority. We help to establish their progress and help to discover areas of progress and improvement.
We also preserve our legacy through two major conferences. Our National Convention, which is held yearly, has a broader scope. Our National Board takes the time to reflect on the year and ensure that the Sigma Spirit is strong within all sisterships. We take the time to view our sorority's mission as a whole and track our progression and future directions. There are also various workshops developing our sisters' skills, such as networking and publicity. Our other major conference is Regional Rally. Another event held yearly, this is another conference that focuses on sororal develpment, leadership skills, and sisterhood. However, this conference is concentrated towards our region rather than all sisterships, providing a more intimate setting to meet new sisters. We have had the pleasure of holding two Regional Rallies since being established, once in 2013 and once in 2017.
