Activism
We are passionate about the causes that we are involved in and work to raise awareness of these causes. Our two major events, Purple Ribbon Week and Clothesline Project, aim to inform the community about violence against women. We have hosted events with CARE, MARS, and SHAPE to educate people about healthy relationships. We have also invited speakers to discuss their personal experiences with violence at our Clothesline Project Reception, and have distributed fact sheets debunking common myths about domestic violence.
Our members are involved in student activist organizations and movements, such as Black Lives Matter and the Asian Pacific American Coalition. Even though our sisters are busy, we make time to attend relevant events such as the Midwest Asian American Student Union Leadership Summit and Vietnamese Interacting as One Conference.
